Full Binders, Empty Shelves
By SMC "SMC"
I ordered two of these a week ago, got them yesterday, and just ordered two more. I am using the binder for music CDs. It indeed holds 48, using both sides of the page inserts, without having to force or squash them in. Each slot will fit a CD and the jewel case booklet (insert the CD playing surface toward the back - there is a soft cushiony material there). I plan to put all my CDs in these binders. You can insert lists of songs or other info next to each CD, but I will just flip through the pages to find the one I want. The binder is easy to handle. They look nice, and free up lots of shelf room. The faux-leather seems durable, and doesn't look tacky. The binder is large, so I probably wouldn't use it to carry CDs around, but could, in a pinch. I just wanted something sharp looking, easy to use, and less shelf clutter. This fits the bill just right! |

Best binder ever !
By K. Ozdemir "customer101"
If you are looking for ways to store your cds and dvds in a decorative setting, this is the binder you are looking for.
The best thing about this binder is it looks like a book in my library; it is not too wide and it doesn't extend beyond the size of other books. It comes only in black though, I wish we could have more options. |

Best DVD storage solution I've found,
By Gary Jennings "JenningsMusic"
I started out with the smaller version of these and had my entire DVD collection in those for awhile but as my collection has grown to 335 discs now, this is a much better alternative. I still get the "books on a shelf" look which I love but the bigger size holds twice as many DVDs and are even expandable. The smaller ones aren't. |

Useful and attractive,
By J. Hansen
I love these CD holders! I have been looking for some like it for years. They look really smart on the shelf. Some of the metal fittings were a little sloppy (there was black paint on 2 of them) and the paper label is difficult to change, but would absolutely recommend... I am being picky. They really look fabulous. I bought 3, then wanted more and bought 3 more! |

I now have 9 of these, and won't stop anytime soon,
By Pistachio Disguisey
The good:
They're durable. They look good. The little name placard is really convenient.
No more space consuming DVD cases or bulky, unappealing binders!
The not so good:
They don't come with enough pages! If you buy three of the binders, you'll need to buy at least one refill pack to fill the binder. And they really do over-charge for the refill pages.
Bottom Line: A bit pricey, but they sure look great! |

great organizer,
By llf7927 (Middletown, RI)
I bought three of these albums about a year ago to help control the growing dvd collection that was taking over the living room. I put the kids' dvds in one of them, and used the other two for non-kid movies. The room looks less like blockbuster video and more like a living room again. My one complaint is that the dvd's fall out pretty easily if the album is not held upright, and it's no fun having a pile of dvd's to clean up (I'm sure it's not too good for the dvd's either!) This is probably the result of careless children rather than a design flaw. Overall, a wonderful product! |

Good for the price,
By Mrs. G (Los Angeles, CA, USA)
I bought 6 of these binders and they cleaned up a mess of CDs stacked in my bookcases. The "look" is nice. One of the binders had plastic sleeves that split open. The company replaced them quickly and with no hassle. For that, plus the reasonable price, they get 4 stars. I sorted my CDs by type: jazz, foreign, rock, country, etc., and can now actually find and listen to the music I own. Should have done this months ago. |

Gotta have more!,
By Meredith Wilken "Meredith"
I purchased this for a friend who wanted to declutter her living room and get rid of the huge DVD stand. You can add more pages as the binder is quite large. After seeing hers I decided to buy some for myself. High quality. Looks great. Creates a more formal living environment while keeping your DVD's and CD's close by. |

good item, but interesting flaw,
By A. Williams (Northeast, USA)
I purchased two of these binders. Their appearance is nice and has a bookshelf appeal. My main reason for purchase of this particular product was to be able to put in the title/insert of the dvd covers with the dvd itself. While many dvd's do come with an insert that will fit into the pouches, many do not. I wish these binders had 'modified' pouches to accommodate the cover slips as well as inserts. I have little need for the extra space for some title slip. That space could have been utilized for the additional size of the covers. Perforations or something of the sort would have been a nice option for space usage there. I actually tore a side of the bottom pouches so I could use the paper title covers on dvds that did not provide internal inserts. Nearly half my dvds did not contain inserts and many were newer releases. |

I wouldn't choose anything else!,
By M. Osborne "maryoz5" (Hicksville, MD USA)
I love these storage binders...I only started buying all my favorite DVD's recently but I have A LOT of CD's as well. The storage binder looks great and keeps my CD's/DVD's in good condition and off my floor, desk, or any other surface that they have been invading lately. I have already bought three, and I'm going to keep buying them until I catch up with my every growing CD/DVD collection! The binders are also good for storing games, without having to have a million game cases all over the room! I give them 5 stars and recommend them for everyone, I absolutely love them! |

Good quality, nice appearance, no tabs, no labels
By Lurfy's Ma (California)
The binder looks nice and appears to be good quality. The page inserts hold 4 DVDs each, 2 on each side. Each pocket has a soft cloth-like center sheet that the data side of the DVD rests against. It looks like it would protect from scratches. This is covered with a clear plastic cover, which has a small flap at the top to keep the disk from falling out if the binder were stored upside down. That flap could be better designed. If you do not lift it up before inserting the disk, it is very difficult to get it up.
Next to each cover is a narrow (1" wide) vertical pocket for a label. No blank labels were provided. There were also no tabs or divider pages provided and the design of the binder and pages do not really allow any space for divider pages. I would prefer getting rid of the narrow label space, making the pages narrower overall, and leaving space for divider pages, which should be provided. I went to the manufacturer website, [...]. They do not even offer any other type of pages.
There is a very small bracket on the spine that will take a 1.5" x 1" paper label. Again, no blanks are provided. These deficiencies cost them .5 stars.
The binder comes with 12 pages each holding 4 disks for a capacity of 48 disks. The binder looks like it could hold at least 3 times that many pages - maybe less when full. Replacement pages are almost as expensive as the binder + pages. I paid $[...] for the binder and 12 pages. The cost for 8 replacement pages is $[...]. It looks like they are trying to make a much bigger profit on the replacements pages and they provide way too few in the beginning. This cost them 1.5 stars.
I am going to go down to the local stationery store and look for standard binders and insert pages for DVDs/CDs. It probably won't be quite as pretty on the shelf, but then I am storing mainly software - not classic performances by the Berlin Philharmonic. |
